The Bachelor of Soil Science Study Program is included in the Communication Forum network of Indonesian Agricultural Universities which aims to always communicate in terms of improving the curriculum and quality of graduates. The curriculum of the Bachelor of Soil Science Study Program develops a curriculum that is oriented towards student competence in tropical marginal land management. The curriculum that is prepared follows the development of the higher education curriculum in Indonesia. The Soil Science study program has implemented a curriculum that meets the standards of the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI).
Curriculum preparation is carried out by the study program periodically. The curriculum applied today is a curriculum prepared in 2008 with various revisions every four years. In 2016 the Soil Science Study Program again compiled a new curriculum and learning program. This new curriculum has been implemented starting in the odd semester of 2017/2018. Curriculum review is carried out once every 4 (four) years (faculty quality standards / BAPEM), unless there are changes in related regulations that require earlier curriculum improvement. This activity is carried out during a workshop event that takes 2-3 days.
The following is the number of credits for the S1 Soil Science Study Program. The minimum number of credits to graduate with a degree in Soil Science is 144 credits.
1. Compulsory Courses 106 credits, with details of general basic courses 13 credits, math and science courses 12 credits, social science and management courses 4 credits, agricultural science courses 33 credits, soil science courses 35 credits, soil survey and mapping courses 9 credits
2. Elective Courses 61 credits with details Agricultural science courses 15 credits, Soil science courses 35 credits, Social science and management courses 5 credits, Land surveying and mapping courses 6 credits
